The perfect combination of acoustics and design at Bose
For the new headquarters of Bose Professional, we provided input on the acoustics of the space. In collaboration with BOLD Interior Design and Cheata, we implemented a solution that combines experience and functionality.
Design
BOLD designed a total concept in which images, products, lighting, and atmosphere are perfectly aligned. Our acoustic felt also plays an important role in this. Thanks to the use of acoustic wall panels and partition walls, our solutions contribute to an optimal working environment with calm, focus, and pleasant sound quality.
Challenge: an acoustic box as a divider
The biggest challenge in this project was a large wooden cabinet that needed to be completely covered with PET felt. Important was a neat finish, with as few visible seams as possible. In addition, the cabinet had to be practically usable as a partition wall and storage space.
In close collaboration with Cheata, we have developed several prototypes to arrive at the perfect solution. The end result is a cabinet that not only contributes acoustically but also makes a statement in the interior.
Custom solutions
Next to the cabinet, we implemented various acoustic solutions that contribute to the comfort and appearance of the space:
- EASYfelt dividers: create subtle zones without losing openness. They provide more privacy and limit the spread of sound.
- PET felt logo: a custom logo from Bose in felt – a subtle eye-catcher that perfectly matches the house style while also contributing to better acoustics.
- Sound waves: decorative soundwaves that not only improve acoustics but also beautifully align with Bose's brand and identity.
- Tile Curvy panels: playful wall panels that combine aesthetics with sound absorption.
- Planter: acoustic plant pot made of PET felt that adds extra greenery to the space and absorbs sound.
Final result
The result is an inspiring working environment where acoustics and design truly come together. We are proud of that!
